　　The high resolution earth observation system special project is one of 16 major special projects determined by Outline of the National Program for Long- and Medium-Term Scientific and Technological Development (2006-2020). In November, 2007, CRESDA led GF civil data center to carry out system implementation of project demonstration. GF special project was launched with approval of State Council in May,2010.

　　The project data processing system of GF special (civil use) ground system developed initially put into operation in May, 2013, which has computational ability of 80 trillion times/per second and 4PB mass data storage and management capacity.
