。。 The application system is composed of seven subsystems including data receiving, data preprocessing, data distribution and user service, operation management, Tracking, Telemetry and Control , application demonstration and analysis model, data simulation and evaluation. The composing frame of the system is indicated in Figure 1.



。。The primary task of this subsystem is to, according to the orbit forecasts and projects designed by the department of CBERS-1 operation management, track CBERS-1, receive remotely sensed data, then record the received data on the High Density Tape (HDT) and send HDT to CRESDA to process and distribute. There are three ground receiving stations located in respectively Beijing, Guangzhou and Urumchi.



。。This subsystem is composed of HDT Ingest and Data Archive Subsystem (HDAS) and Product Generation Subsystem (PGS). The main responsibilities of HDAS are: (1) ingesting the received satellite data in satellite downlink speed; (2) generating quick view image for moving window display; (3) generating Level 0 products and archiving them into the DLT Robotic Storage Library; (4) generating browse images and are stored online. The main tasks of PGS are: (1) performing radiometrically correction to the received raw data and obtaining Level 1 products; (2) obtaining Level 2, 3 and 4 products with radiometric and geometric corrections using Ground Control Points (GCPs) and Digital Elevation Models (DEMs).



。。The main tasks of this subsystem are to help users query the archived data, search browse images, issue user orders, and also arrange new receiving programs according to users' demands, monitor the status of product's orders, manage the distribution of products. In addition, according to the user's requirements, the subsystem is also responsible for generating photo products from satellite remote sensing data (including pictures, positive and negative color films, black-and-white films, etc.



。。The Operation Management Subsystem provides the general operator interface and status monitoring for the application system. The main responsibilities of this subsystem are to control all other subsystems, attemper satellite data collection and product generation, monitor the qualities of image data and products.



。。The main responsibilities of this subsystem is to organize researches on the application of earth observation satellites in coordination with national and local remote sensing units using the resources satellite data. The main application of this subsystem is to develop a dynamic monitoring systems for resources and environmental investigation covering agriculture, forest, water conversation, and land use, etc. as well as application systems in other fields.



。。Performing evaluation to the applications of resources satellite data is the main responsibility of the subsystem. The main tasks include: (1) developing application and evaluation of remotely sensed data received soon after satellite launched; (2) providing real-time absolute radiometric calibration data and evaluation data of ground truth; (3) developing high spectral resolution database including various kinds of ground materials so as to serve for the design and prototype selection of subsequent satellites.



。。The main responsibility of this subsystem is that during the on-orbit test and operational application period of CBERS-1 data, performing telemetry and remote control of payload aboard satellite to ensure that payload is in necessitated work state。
